Text

When I'm not shooting or scheming to shoot, I'm probably writing. Perhaps not surprisingly, it's often smutty or about smut.

As with my visual work, there's genre-blending going on wherever possible. Sometimes it's Bible porn ["Recovery From a Fall", written at Clarion 2000 and published 2004 in Sheree R. Thomas's second anthology of black folks' science fiction "Dark Matter Two: Counting the Bones"].

Sometimes it's deeply inappropriate family bonding in a fictional Irish small town ["Departures", in Linda Alvarez's erotic anthology "Mammoth Book of Threesomes and Moresomes" coming out in early October 2010. "Departures" was inspired by my friend Amelia's poem "Honey"].

I've also occasionally put together bits of non-fiction like the little rant on this site about hyphenated porn categories ["Good Porn"] and a personal essay that plays with zombies, sloppy science, preference/identity and public sex ["Survey Says" in the anthology First Person Queer: Who We Are (So Far) edited by Richard Labonté and Lawrence Schimel].

There's more writing in the works, including a few graphic novel projects and an illustrated book of dirty limericks. Get in touch if you've got a hankering to publish, preview or otherwise interfere with my text.
